K.G. Services is a process engineering company based in Kolkata, India. This policy covers the personal information we handle through this website and when you contact us.

We collect very little.

• What you send us. When you write to us through the enquiry form, by email or by phone, we receive what you choose to tell us: usually your name, company, email address, phone number and the details of your enquiry. The enquiry form opens your own email program, so the website itself keeps no copy of what you type.
• Visit statistics, only if you agree. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics records how the site is used: which pages are viewed, roughly where a visit comes from, the kind of device and browser, and whether an enquiry was started or a contact link was clicked. It does not record your name, your email address or anything you type.
• Technical records. As with any website, the servers that deliver these pages briefly log technical details such as IP address, browser type and time of request, to keep the site secure and working.

This website sets no cookies until you answer the cookie banner.

• kgs_consent remembers your answer for 180 days. It is set by this website.
• _ga and a second cookie beginning _ga_ let Google Analytics tell one visit from another, for up to two years. They are set only if you accept, and are removed if you later reject.

You can change your answer at any time with “Cookie settings” at the foot of every page, or block cookies in your browser.

• To reply to enquiries and prepare the proposals you ask for.
• To carry out work for our clients and keep the business records the law requires.
• To see which pages are useful and improve the website.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or for automated decisions about you.

We share personal information only with companies that provide services to us, and only as far as they need it:

• Google, for Google Analytics (if you accept cookies) and for the email service that carries our enquiries.
• Vercel, which hosts this website.
• Sanity, which stores and delivers the website's text and images.

These companies may process information outside India. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

• Enquiries and correspondence: for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows, and afterwards for as long as business and tax records must be kept.
• Visit statistics: Google Analytics keeps them for up to 14 months.
• Technical records: our hosting provider keeps them for a short period.

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and withdraw your consent to analytics at any time through “Cookie settings”.

Depending on where you live, laws such as India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 or the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation may give you further rights, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.

To use any of these rights, write to us. We aim to reply within 30 days.

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

This website is meant for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

This website links to other websites, such as LinkedIn. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy does not cover them.
